About Tignes
Tignes trades village charm for altitude and snow reliability. The original village was flooded to create a dam, and what replaced it is functional rather than beautiful — but the skiing is outstanding. High altitude means the season runs from September to May, and the glacier offers summer skiing too. It's particularly popular with freestylers thanks to excellent parks and pipes.
